Happy Pets: Guess the Toy Story characters in this new Limited Edition series

Following the recent trend in Happy Aquarium, it's a given that Crowdstar loves Disney and can only be expected to churn out more bootleg versions of Disney's characters due to the brand's broad appeal. This strategy must be pretty successful too, and when timed to a film release, the results can only be positive. In this latest pet set from Happy Pets, Crowdstar have ordered in six new Limited Edition premium pets, along with three props, all to tie into Pixar's and Disney's upcoming Toy Story 3 movie.

Three of the six new pets cost 90 Facebook Credits, or $9 USD each -- Cowboy Cat, Space Ranger Cat, and Alien Guinea Pig. The next two are a bit plainer, and go for 80 FB Credits, or $8 USD, each -- Spring Dog and Cowboy Horse. Last one is the Bacon Pig, going for 70 FB Credits, or $7 USD. So what's so special about the last three to warrant the $7-8 price tags? Well, the Catzilla Cats series introduced various pet sizes (size comparison chart included) as breedable traits, and all the pets in this set are half-sized.

Can you guess who's who in the Toy Series? Get the answers below!

Clicking the following links will lead you to the Toy Story characters that inspired each pet:

FarmVille for iPhone gets the Twitterverse in a tizzy

Today, Zynga announced FarmVille for iPhone will be arriving at the end of June. While that's good news for some, the Twitterverse was -- to put it mildly -- less than enthralled. Everyone from fellow tech journalists to the average Joe Twitterer seemed to have something negative to say about the union between FarmVille and iPhone. Here are just a few of many examples below:

We can understand that people who don't play FarmVille are tired of getting spammed with requests on their Facebook pages (you know those can be turned off, right?) and don't want the same to happen on iPhone. Those of us who play FarmVille don't like spamming non-players either. But does an otherwise relaxing casual game where you plant and harvest seeds deserve this kind of response? Like it or not, we will be the first online when FV for iPhone debuts in the App Store later this month.

Tiki Resort: Free Shoe Charm has fans asking "Which Shoes Did You Get?"

Tiki Resort's newest charm can't be bought from the store or sent via the gifts page. It can only be picked up for free from the game's official Facebook fanpage. The Shoe Charm is an unreleased item and being offered exclusively to fans who click here.

Using the Shoe Charm grants you 100 XP and one of three decorative shoe collectibles. After dropping the charm into the volcano to activate it, one pair of Red-Sole Pumps were left on my resort island. If I choose to, those Pumps could be sold to gain me 4,000 Coins.

Happy Aquarium envisions underwater soccer played by lion cubs

Happy Aquarium's Zack the Soccer-playing Lion
To go along with their World Cup 2010 wallpapers, Happy Aquarium has decided to bring in a "Soccer-playing lion" cub. Say what? Yeah, you read that right.

Happy Aquarium Soccer BallAnd to continue with their Disney obsession, the new "Zack, the Lion", looks very much like the lion cubs from Disney's 1994 film, The Lion King. Zack, in particular, looks like Nala, but with Simba's coloring. But Zack has been done up with spiky, wild blue hair, a red scuba breathing apparatus, a white shirt and blue gym shorts. Oh, and he carries a soccer ball with the promise of some "pretty fancy footwork when you click on him in your tank!"

You can buy him under the Tank Mates section of the in-game store for 58 Pearls or 48 Facebook Credits ($4.80 USD). And for those who can't shell out the money, Zack's Soccer Ball can be gotten for free under the game's gifts page.

Treasure Isle flags return in time for Fourth of July

Just when you thought Treasure Isle was going to completely miss out on Independence day and fail to release a single Fourth of July themed item, flags from nations all over the world were re-released.

You may be wondering what international flags have to do with Independence Day and I'll admit: not much. Treasure Isle isn't the only game to do a mediocre job of releasing Fourth of July themed goods. Especially in comparison to the games that did a great job.

However, included in the selection is our own American Flag, standing proud and strong. So perhaps this Fourth of July you'll stand it tall upon your patch of land planted amid the vast Treasure Isle ocean.

Unfortunately, the dearth of Fourth of July themed items wasn't Treasure Isle's only shortcoming. They also are charging fairly hefty fees of Island Cash for each flag, 12 to be precise. Nonetheless, the flags can be found in the store under decorations. Click the flags button to see them all. So head over to Treasure Isle and check out the patriotic flags here in time for Fourth of July.

FrontierVille Independence Day Collection rings in the holiday weekend

UPDATE (7/3): List of items now includes how to find each of them.

Just in case you weren't aware that there's a big holiday in the US this weekend, FrontierVille sets out to remind everyone with a virtual celebration that includes new limited edition items in the Market and a new collection of "secret" 4th of July Collectibles. OK, so they're not that big of a secret, you can find out what the items are by looking in your Collections list, and here they are:

The collection consists of the following:

Tricorne Hat (collect bonus, or complete buildings)
    Cannonball (tend chickens)
Snare Drum (clobber snakes, bears, foxes, groundhogs)
Powder Horn (tend oak and pine trees)
    Tea Crate (clear grass)

Once you've collected all of these items, then you get a free Liberty Bell.

A slew of very patriotic cherry trees and fireworks have appeared in the Market as well. More on that HERE.

Did you get the Liberty Bell yet? Have any good advice on how to get these Independence Day items fast?
